Summer Play Program

Nursery School of The Nyacks Summer Playgroup is an outdoor program where children aged 2.5-5 years are able to explore the environment and all the nature around it. We provide a safe and nurturing space where children can grow relationships while engaging in our outdoor setting.

Who:

The Nursery School of the Nyacks Summer Playgroup is open to both existing NSN students and non-NSN children aged 2.5 to 5 years old, who are at least 3 by 12/1/2025.

When:
8 fun weeks of learning through play for 2.5-5 year olds! Weeks run Monday-Friday 9am-11:55am with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 day options, book according to your schedule. Summer Play 2025 will run from June 30 - August 22 (no camp on July 4).

Where:

The Summer Play Program is held at the outdoor play space at Grace Episcopal Church, 130 First Avenue, Nyack, NY 10960. In case of inclement weather, the playgroup is moved inside to one of the preschool classrooms for indoor play and activities.

Summer 2025 Tuition: $50/day if enrolled before June 15, 2024. The rate increases to $60/day after June 15, 2025.

Full Week Discount: $225 (not available Week 1 due to shorter week).

What to Bring:

Water bottle
Clothes to get dirty in
Extra set of clothes
Sneakers (wood chips tend to get stuck in sandals and sneakers are better for climbing and running)
We provide snack, but if there is a preferred snack, dietary restriction, or allergy, you are welcome to provide your own snack.

Daily Schedule:

Drop off and Pick up will always stay the same, but as time goes on and the group develops its own energy some parts of the day may be shifted:

9:00 Drop off/Play
10:00 Snack/Story
10:30 Play
11:00 Crafts/Play
11:45 Circle Time
11:55 Pick up on the playground

Inclement Weather Precautions:

In the event of extreme heat or a rainy day, we have a large indoor gym to use as well as our classrooms. Weather will be monitored daily for safety. We also have water play stations for cooling off!

Covid-19 Precautions:

The program will adhere to updated CDC & NYS guidelines
Shared and frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly

Registration

Registration will open in the spring with a non-refundable $100 deposit at the time of registration, which will be applied to summer tuition. The balance of tuition is due by June 20, 2025.
